Diesel Releases Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara
Diesel is unveiling a new, limited-edition Whiskey Row cigar this May. The new cigar— Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara—is the second limited release in the Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection line. Like previous Diesel Whiskey Row cigars, Founder’s Collection Mizunara is a collaboration between Diesel, Rabbit Hole Distillery, and AJ Fernandez.
The new cigar gets its name from rare Mizunara Japanese oak. The cigar’s Connecticut Broadleaf binder was aged in bourbon barrels made from Mizunara oak taken from Rabbit Hole Founder Kaveh Zamanian’s personal collection.

Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara features a dark Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper. Its Connecticut Broadleaf binder was aged in Mizunara oak barrels that previously held 15-year aged Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and the filler is made of Nicaraguan Estelí tobacco.
Rabbit Hole Founder Kaveh Zamanian said, “When crafting Mizunara, I chose barrels from my personal collection of Kentucky straight bourbon—each aged to perfection for 15 years—and finished them in casks made of the finest Japanese Mizunara Oak for more than 11 months. This special edition whiskey exemplifies the innovation and creativity that goes into each of our Founder’s Collection releases, and we’re proud to share this masterpiece.”
Diesel Whiskey Row Founder’s Collection Mizunara is a full-bodied cigar with deep tasting notes of earth, leather, and cocoa. Suggested drink pairings include Mizunara
Founder’s Collection Bourbon from Rabbit Hole and Rye whiskey.
